                                     tick tock watch the clock and
                                    pace around the room endless-


                                                                                                                        still!
                                                                                                                   be still.
                                                                                                              be silent…

                                        dark consumes your soul,
                                                     Feverish-

Nothing
                 you can
                                  do
Never
                  goes
                                away

                                                     it Chills you!

how
                         jarring
it is!

                                                         to feel
                                                                           numb

to be so
                                                   angry sad afraid

                                                  (trapped.)
                                                  (helpless.)


                                                                                                                of
                                                                                               out
                                                                                                                          control


                                                        bro
                                                                 ken.

Wow. It's like you don't as much write those things, as transcribe someone's mind, as it is, without altering it the way translating thoughts into words usually does. I'm impressed!

The way the lines are set up is what makes this poem, I believe. The first time I read through it, for whatever reason, I read it as, "how jarring to feel numb it is!" It is... very good.

That's the feeling I was going for; glad to see it worked. :D

And that line is actually "How jarring it is to feel numb!" But hey, it makes sense your way, too. I tried to increase the spacing there, but it would have sacrificed style for space... and I just couldn't bear to do that. I'm glad you liked it

Ticking clocks have always made me really, really uneasy. I just never liked the way they were so perfectly even - it feels unnatural.

I like the way the text is written to fit with the words. Insanity usually is accompanied by scrambled thoughts like this.
